The County of Essays Has Many Writers

The county of essays has many writers, including locals, from a variety of backgrounds. Some writers were raised in the county, and some have deep family roots. Shelby Stephenson is a native, and has been named North Carolina’s Poet Laureate. Other writers have come from far afield, but have chosen to call this part of the state home. Evelyn Wool is a writer, artist, and farmer who moved to Pine Level from Connecticut in 2014.

Janine holds college essay writing workshops for students of all levels. She has taught college essay writing workshops to students at the Colorado Academy in Denver, Palisade Charter High School IB students in Palisade, CO, and the Bergen County Technical High School Juniors in Teterboro, NJ. Her workshop series has been adopted by college admissions counselors and tutors throughout the country. She also trains private college admissions counselors to use her approach.
